Description: During the summer months paste fishing can be very productive especially for the larger carp and tench. Its a very simple method as you can use just an ordinary pole rig and fish about an inch or 2 over depth just so the weight of the paste does not sink your float. Alternatively you can use a paste float which are widely available in different shapes and colours. To be honest they are just normal float with a longer bristle on them. The art of fishing with a paste float is to use the paste to weight the float without the use of shot, If the paste falls off the float or a fish bites and takes the paste the float will then lie flat. The are a massive variety of crazy pastes available now anything from tutti fruiti to crab meat flavour but you can also be a bit more adventurous and make your own. A good tip when fishing on paste is to occasionally cup in a couple of balls of paste and a few pellets flavoured the same as the paste and fish over the top of them. Now you can just sit back and wait for that monster carp or tench, you never know it might be your personal best. Thanks Lee
