Thumbs up Disabled events over past few months

Sorry I haven't been active on the forums here for a long time. We have been busy with all sorts of events running six week programmes in conjunction with the N.C.F.F.I. the Angling Council of Ireland, I.F.I., the Carlow Sports Partnership, Irish Wheelchair Association, Rehab Carlow and groups from Waterford and Wexford. Well all the above and the courses we have been attending for Child Protection and First Aid etc. etc.

Default disabled fishing

hi gerry just saw your pics on facebook,you all deserve a a big thankyou from all of us disabled anglers for the great job your doin ,bringing angling to the disabled community.this should be a national initiative by other governing bodies,i was,nt always disabled and so i see this from both sides ,keep up the good work and tell all the guys involved well done . desy ps ,im sure it was a great reward to see those smileing faces ,cheers

Hi now how damaging mentally when not benign able to go fishing.I've fished for years on the river band near Ballymoney but after an accident was in wheelchair not being able to get out on the river was upsetting.Just getting back on legs but leaved with epilepsy so need to be accompanied.moved to Belfast know very little people and looking to get back on the banks again is there groups or places to fish in area with in bus route limits many thanks hope someone can help.

You would be more than welcome to join out Club in Belfast, We have several anglers with disabilities so it would not be an issue.

hopefully we can get proper disabled access at Willis ASAP and you would be welcomed into the willis angling club.you should come along to our next meeting and meet some of the lads.

and if you need accompanied i myself and im sure many of the club memebers would be willing to go with you,or maybe arrange to go at the weekends in a group.

such a brilliant wee lake full of silvers and tench and the finicky(pun intended) carp
