| This massive Lake is the largest reservoir in Ireland (5,000a) once was a flooded valley. The old village still remains in ruin at the bottom of this very deep water. Fishing on the lakes is regulated by the E.S.B. Fisheries Conservation. E.S.B. Fisheries Conservation, Hydro Group, Ardnacrusha, Limerick (Tel: 061 – 345588). All legal fishing methods are permitted on the lake and an E.S.B. boat permit and number is required. Day permits are available in the village spar shop White maggots only. |
