The water here holds good Pike, Rudd and Perch. Recommended fishing sites include Coolcower Bridge, Maclonaigh Bridge, Dooniskey, Caum and the lower reaches of the river Sullane. Rudd and Tench are caught in Mc Culls and Buckley's Ponds, 3 miles east of Macroom and of the Carrigadrohid road.
