| To find the fishery take the road from Lindale to Grange, turning left at the Lodge House roughly 75 yards after the 'Concealed entrance' sign. The fishery carpark is immediately on the right. |

| Castle Head Fishery is WADAA's newest coarse fishery situated between Lindale and Grange over Sands. The lake occupies the former bed of the River Winster and as a result is long, narrow and almost canal like in character.
The Association has constructed several new pegs and restocking over the winter of 2006/2007 introduced substantial numbers of tench, roach and carp to the fishery. There was an existing head of carp with fish ranging from 5 or 6lbs up to low doubles together with some good roach.
Early indications have been excellent with fish responsive and active throughout the day. Castle Head can catch the wind and calmer days are likely to give the best results.
The fishery tends to be a little 'peggy' with the pegs at the far end of the fishery most productive for the carp. |
