Hemp is the common name for plants of the entire family of Cannabis. The seed is an excellent fishing bait
Hemp Seed particles resemble fishes natural diet (small insects or snails) when compared to the larger attractans like boilies or pellets. Using smaller dry natural particles like hemp seeds induce a longer feeding time as the fish have to hunt around for the smaller pieces. This will then allow you to present your hookbait into the area.
Cooking hempseed is easy if a little smelly.
You will need some hempseed water and a saucepan. Boil the water add the hempseed. The seed will all split when cook showing awhile sprout.It is useful to make a fair amount and freeze it in session sized portions.
To hook hemp bury the bend of the hook in the split.
